House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries will endorse Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani for New York City mayor on Friday, two people familiar with the decision told Politico on Friday.

The long-awaited endorsement from the New York congressman comes just ahead of the start of early voting on Saturday.
