After seven long years, a dog was reunited Thursday with his owner when Tampa police found him wandering alone.
Officer Bishop opened his patrol car door and Luca jumped in, knowing he was saved. Luca can be seen in the video, excitedly wagging his tail.
Bishop brought him to Animal Doctors of South Tampa, where a microchip scan revealed that Luca’s owner, Gabrielle, was searching for him the entire time.
She kept his microchip account active by paying the yearly fee “just in case this happened.”
