Bhind, Oct 24: Police in Bhind district busted a clandestine country-made weapons factory operating from a rented farmhouse, uncovering an industrial-scale illegal arms racket.

The operation, run by a local gang, involved assembling pistols with the help of skilled gunsmiths hired from Uttar Pradesh at Rs 50,000 per month. Authorities seized 12 pistols, three live cartridges, and a large cache of weapon-making materials from the farmhouse in Rupawai. The gang had rented the farmhouse for Rs 20,000 per month, with strict production targets and salaries in place.
