A young child was hospitalized after a near-drowning, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Friday, Oct. 24.
Troopers were called to a home on the 1000 block of Mine Road in Salisbury Township, just before 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, for reports of a possible drowning.
Investigators determined a 4-year-old child fell into a pond on the property, according to the release.
Emergency crews pulled the child from the water and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition, troopers said.
No further details have been released at this time.
