SAYRE, Pa. (WETM) – A Horseheads woman has been sentenced to serve time in a county correctional facility after officials say she assaulted a nurse at Robert Packer Hospital in January.

Meaghan M. Cota, 34, has been sentenced to a minimum of 152 days to a maximum of two years in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, followed by eight years of court-ordered supervision/probation, for the crime of aggravated assault (second-degree felony), as stated in a release from the Bradford County District Attorney's Office.

Officials say Cota was charged with the crime by Sayre Borough Police for an incident that occurred at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre in January of 2025. At this time, officials say police responded to the hospital after Cota had attacked and injured a nurse.
