A former DeSoto County high school basketball coach and youth minister recently sentenced to house arrest for having a sexual relationship with a teenager is now facing federal charges after previously avoiding jail time on state charges.
Lindsey Whiteside, who previously coached basketball at DeSoto Central High School and acted as a minister at Getwell Church, has been indicted by a grand jury for allegedly transporting a minor across state lines for sexual activity. DeSoto County Sheriff Thomas made the announcement Thursday.
