PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A former Rhode Island National Guard member will spend the rest of his life in prison for the gruesome killing of a Providence man in 2019.
Troy Ingram, 27, was sentenced Friday to life in prison at the ACI for first-degree murder, plus three additional years for three counts of mutilation of human remains.
Ingram was convicted this summer in the death of 40-year-old Moshin Muhammad.
Muhammad, who worked at a 7-Eleven on Smith Hill, was found dead inside his Jewett Street apartment on July 21, 2019. Coworkers told police they went to check on him after he didn't show up for his shift the night before and discovered his body on the kitchen floor.
