MACON, Ga. — The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is hosting another National Drug-Take Back Day on Saturday, where people can turn in their unused prescription medications safely.

On their website, the DEA said that "too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands."

They encourage people across the country to "clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in-- safely and anonymously" prescription medications.

In Central Georgia , some counties are hosting drop offs for their unused prescription medication.

Acceptable items vary for each location, but for most drop off sites, name labels should be removed from the medications. Also, syringes, needles and other sharp items are not accepted. Illegal substances are also not accepted.
