Congresswoman Celeste Maloy stopped by a Red Cross of Utah drive in Enoch on Thursday afternoon to donate blood.

“I don’t know how many times I’ve donated blood, but I know it’s a lot,” Maloy told Cedar City News as her blood was being collected.

Maloy said when she was a teenager, her mother needed several blood transfusions while giving birth to her baby brother.

“ My mother taught me from a young age how important blood donation is – it saved her life, ” Maloy said in a Red Cross of Utah news release.

“ As we head into the holiday season, I’m reminded that donating blood is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to help others,” Maloy said in the release. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back and support our community. ”
