JACKSON COUNTY, MI — Another Michigan prisoner has jumped from an upper railing in a Jackson-area prison.
An inmate at the Parnall Correctional Facility, 1780 E. Parnall Road, intentionally fell from an upper gallery on Wednesday, Oct. 22, Michigan Department of Corrections Public Information Officer Jenni Riehle confirmed by email.
The prisoner was responsive after the fall and is currently at a local hospital, where he is being treated. The family has been notified, she wrote.
There have been prior instances of prisoners jumping from the upper gallery of prison facilities. Most recently, Ervin Robinson II , 42, died April 12 after he fell from a gallery at the Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center north of Jackson, according to the Department of Corrections.
