Life can be hard and full of surprises. Afternoons often give us things that the morning did not know existed. Ups, downs, spinning in circles; much like taking a swim in God’s washing machine. Meant to cleanse and rinse out our foibles, our sins and stains. It can feel like a hypnotic vortex. Sometimes it is a daily trip to the laundromat; other times it is less frequent. But one thing you can count on is that laundry has to, and will be, done!
The water pours in, giving you the feeling of almost drowning. A little detergent akin to faith, time and patience is added. Then the agitation back and forth of tests, trials and heartache. Depending on the choices you or I have been making, the tumbling and churning may be a “quick wash,” or a pre-soaking period of contemplation may be necessary
