Windsor police say charges have been laid after dozens of vehicles were scratched or had their tires slashed in the same neighbourhood over a period of several days.

In total, 43 vehicles were damaged, Windsor police said in a media release on Thursday.

During the overnight hours between Oct. 17 and 18, the police service received reports of vehicles damaged in the areas of Dandurand Avenue, Alexandra Avenue, Hallee Crescent, Virginia Park Avenue and Randolph Avenue in South Windsor.

"Surveillance footage captured a suspect using a tool to scratch vehicles and puncture tires," police said.
