MINNEAPOLIS — Hundreds of health care workers across Allina clinics delivered their notice to strike Friday over unsettled contract negotiations spanning nearly two years.
Doctors, physicians' assistants and nurse practitioners who make up the more than 600-member Doctors Council SEIU union announced their filing of the 10-day strike notice, which they said would be the largest of its kind in the country's history.
According to the union, the Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike is a response to its unmet demands over "an agreement that ensures their work is valued, they have safe working conditions and their voice is heard."
