The Chatham Maroons can extend their point streak to a season-high six games Sunday by beating the LaSalle Vipers at Chatham Memorial Arena.
The Maroons also can match their season high with a fifth consecutive win.
Rookie forward Gensen Geldart’s first junior hat trick Thursday led the streaking Maroons to a 6-2 road win over the Sarnia Legionnaires.
Trevor Zanutto added his Greater Ontario Hockey League-leading 14th goal and two assists in front of 530 fans at Pat Stapleton Arena.
Dylan Richter and Carter Chadwick also scored as the Maroons (10-2-0-0) grabbed sole possession of first place in the Western Conference.
The Maroons improved to 6-0-0-0 away from home. They’re the conference’s only team without a road loss.
Viljami Kukkola made 15 saves to end his personal two-game skid.
