Projet Montréal Leader Luc Rabouin is pushing back against criticism he’s running a negative campaign, saying he feels it’s important to point out his main opponent’s unclear positions on issues like bike paths.

Ensemble Montreal’s Soraya Martinez Ferrada has repeatedly accused Rabouin of resorting to personal attacks. Transition Montréal’s Craig Sauvé also challenged him on the issue during Thursday night’s Radio-Canada debate .

“We’re doing a very positive campaign … we’ve focused this entire campaign on proposals that the city can do by ourselves,” Rabouin told reporters on Friday. “But we are in an electoral campaign  —  we want people to understand the difference between us and Ensemble Montréal.”
