The City of Jacksonville is looking to join the fight against hunger by supporting the “Peanut Butter Challenge,” and is asking residents to spread the word and make a donation, or two.

The challenge asks residents of Northeast Florida to donate unopened jars of peanut butter at the UF/IFAS Extension office in their county. All donations will go to local food pantries with the hope that they will help a family in need.

Donations will be accepted until Friday, Oct. 31.
