The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Friday for the 10th time in 11 days, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.633.

The average price has dropped 8.3 cents over the past 11 days, including 1.2 cents Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped six consecutive days, rose one-tenth of a cent Monday and resumed decreasing Tuesday.

The average price is 5.8 cents less than one week ago and 9.4 cents lower than one month ago but 7.7 cents more than one year ago. It has decreased $1.86 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price also dropped for the 10th time in 11 days, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.585. It has fallen 10.1 cents over the past 11 da
