DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -Grand jurors indicted a former state employee charged with sending pornographic material to Alabama Governor Kay Ivey and state lawmakers.

Court records confirmed the indictments of John Henry Watson of Dothan, who investigators charged with 10 counts of Disseminating Pornographic Material earlier this year.

Watson was an examiner in the state driver’s license division until his arrest in April.

Charging documents allege that Watson sent images depicting two minor children engaged in sexual acts.

According to al.com , Watson may have sent the letters to Ivey and three lawmakers to demonstrate that pornographic images are available on social media, though lawmakers tightened regulations for access to adult sites, but not for social media.
