After the breakout success of It Ends With Us , another Colleen Hoover novel is making its way to the big screen. Regretting You , directed by The Fault in Our Stars filmmaker Josh Boone, reimagines Hoover’s 2019 novel as a sweeping mother-daughter drama about loss, betrayal, and rediscovery. The Paramount Pictures film opens in theaters today.

The movie stars Allison Williams as Morgan Grant, a young mother whose life is upended when a tragic car accident exposes a web of secrets that threatens to pull her family apart. Mckenna Grace plays her teenage daughter, Clara, while Dave Franco and Mason Thames round out the ensemble as the men caught in their orbit. Hoover’s story centers on what happens after grief.
