MINNEAPOLIS — Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem visited Minneapolis Friday afternoon, Oct. 24, touting efforts of federal law enforcement operations in Minnesota since President Donald Trump took office.
The former South Dakota governor also blasted Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and other leaders.
“Under the leadership of (Minneapolis) Mayor (Jacob) Frey, under the leadership of Gov. Walz, more violent crimes are being perpetuated in these communities because of their refusal to defend American citizens,” Noem said.
Noem said federal efforts across the Midwest and Minnesota have resulted in the removal of 4,300 individuals, 3,316 of whom had criminal histories and 98 were part of foreign terrorist organizations, according to Noem.
