MILLER, Mo. — No. 3 seed Pierce City jumped out to a 5-1 lead behind some errors by No. 2 Diamond in the opening set of their semifinal game Thursday night at Miller High School.

There were four ties in the set before the Wildcats took a 19-18 lead late. The scoring was back and forth the rest of the set but the Eagles saw Diamond earn a 25-23 win. That powered Diamond to a 3-0 sweep over Pierce City. It won the next two sets 25-16 and 25-11. ×
