For most of us PlayStation kids, the one game that may have gotten us to switch to the fancy new Microsoft offering, the Xbox, was the futuristic first person shooter, Halo: Combat Evolved . I would go play that game at friends’ houses and would die instantly. I hadn’t played the game before and didn’t know the controls. Don’t get mad at me. Halo and its sequels became a juggernaut gaming franchise that has lasted a quarter century. It even got a TV adaptation . And to commemorate the glory, Halo Studios has announced a ground-up remake of the original campaign using Unreal Engine 5. Best news for me? It’ll be available on the PlayStation 5.
