What’s believed to be the most expensive film ever shot entirely in London – with a budget of more than $1 million – is set to make its premiere at the Forest City Film Festival this weekend.
Falsehood , directed by Londoner Ethan Hickey, is described by the festival as a science-fiction thriller “set in a future where humanity’s memories have been transformed into government-regulated transactional products.”
The film, starring Canadian Screen Award winner Mark O’Brien, was shot during July 2024 in London, including a day in Port Stanley.
Although Hickey would not disclose the exact production cost, he said it was in the mid–seven figures, what he believes to be the highest known budget for a production shot solely in the Forest City.
