A puppy is safe and back with its owners after officers with the New York Police Department rescued the missing dog from the city's subway train tracks during rush hour.
Moose the pup got loose while out with his family and ended up under a northbound 2 train at the 14 Street subway station on Thursday, Oct. 23, a NYPD spokesperson tells PEOPLE. The agency added that the dog was struck by the train before hiding under one of its cars.
