Cirrus Aircraft landed at the Morristown Regional Airport Wednesday to speak to the Morristown Rotary Club about aviation and their presence in East Tennessee.

Hosted in a hangar down at the west end of the airport, the “executive terminal,” Cirrus sales executive Nick Elenz spoke to the group about Cirrus’s footprint in Knoxville and upcoming models of aircraft that continue the company’s groundbreaking safety feature integration.

“We moved to Knoxville to help open the delivery facility in 2016,” he said. “So we’re coming up on our tenth anniversary of that facility, (which) is our global headquarters for everything that’s customer-facing.”

Elenz had brought in one of the newest single engine business jets from the company, a Vision Jet, which has a unique design where the engine sits
