CEDAR CITY — A California man pleaded guilty this week to attempting to rape a teenage girl while in a motor home parked in a Cedar City parking lot.
Luis Lopez, 32, was charged in January in 5th District Court with rape, object rape and forcible sodomy, first-degree felonies; possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a third-degree felony; providing alcohol to a minor, a class A misdemeanor; and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class B misdemeanor.
On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted rape, a first-degree felony. In exchange, the other charges were dismissed.
