Last year, Deadline reported that Netflix has acquired the scripted series from executive producers Kim Kardashian, Emma Roberts, and King. After a year of development, King is stepping away from the proj. Deadline says Kardashian is an avowed Bridgerton fan, so it’s possible she’s behind this behind-the-scenes reshuffle.

The project is Kardashian’s latest foray into film and television after leading Ryan Murphy legal drama All’s Fair on Hulu. Also with Murphy, Kim starred in the most recent season of American Horror Story with Roberts. It’s almost surprising Murphy isn’t joining this show too
