India’s festive season has brought cheer to retailers, traders, and manufacturers alike, with strong growth across electronics, autos, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). But experts caution that while the festive momentum is robust, it may be too early to call it a lasting trend.
Consumer confidence in India rose by 1.4 points in October 2025, according to Ipsos, supported by the festive season and goods and services tax (GST) reforms that eased the tax burden.
