WATTS, Ky. (WYMT) - In March, WYMT reported on a murder that happened inside a home in the Watts community of Breathitt County.

The incident happened on March 11. Kentucky State Police post 13 in Hazard said they were called to the home at around 6:40 A.M.

Trooper Matt Gayheart said when troopers arrived they found Lance Hyde, 42, barricaded inside the home.

“Upon making entry into the residence, they located him along with a female that was deceased,” Gayheart said.

Hyde was reportedly suffering from mental disabilities which led him to kill his wife, Jessica Campbell-Hyde.

On Friday, Lance returned to court for a preliminary hearing. His mother, Becky Noble, was there.
