PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The prosecuting attorney for Jefferson County has filed charges in the investigation of the crash that took the life of the White Hall High School boys’ basketball coach in April.
Court records show that 36-year-old Darrion Williams has been charged with negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated in the April incident.
On April 2, police said 37-year-old coach Matthew Williams died as a result of a head-on crash on South Hazel Street in Pine Bluff around 11 p.m.
An affidavit states that Darrion Williams’ vehicle crossed the center line and struck the front side of a car driven by Matthew Williams.
In court documents, the prosecutor says Darrion Williams has a previous felony conviction.
