ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) - Rocky Mount police have arrested a fifth person in a shooting from this summer that left two people dead.
Authorities say 24-year-old Darius Dales of Rocky Mount is charged with first degree murder following the July 13th shooting on Virginia Street that left 19-year-old Ryo Steele and 20-year-old La’Ren Dickens dead.
Dales was served with the warrant while in custody at the Edgecombe County Jail on an unrelated charge and has been issued no bond for the new offense.
Police had previously arrested 19-year-old Keyvonte Tyson, 22-year-old Devonte Dales, 20-year-old Trevion Scarboro and 27-year-old Bernard Smith, and charged them with murder.
