Meghan, Duchess of Sussex goes barefoot to put her guests at ease.

The 43-year-old former actress - who has children Prince Archie, six, and four-year-old Princess Lilibet with husband Prince Harry - has shared some tips for entertaining, and explained she always opens her door wearing no shoes and with an "apron on" in order to help people feel 2softened".

Speaking to author and lifestyle creator Courtney Adamo for a Godmothers Bookstore livestream, Meghan explained: “It demystifies. People walk in and go, ‘Oh, she’s in this with me.’ And what are they drawn to? Your kitchen. They come right in, and suddenly everyone’s a little bit softened.”
