A three-year-old has died and a one-year-old has been taken to hospital following a car crash on the northern Gold Coast.
Police were called to Burnside Road following reports of a traffic crash shortly after 5am AEST.
Early inquiries indicate a person who witnessed the crash assisted a 22-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy who were in the car and took them to Beenleigh Police Station.
The three-year-old boy became unresponsive and died in the station foyer.
A 24-year-old man from Beenleigh, who is believed to have also been in the car, had left the scene of the crash with a one-year-old boy before the police arrived.
The man and the child were located by police at an address in Beenleigh about 6.30am.
The one-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.
