The CEO of Twitch is speaking out in a lengthy statement following a reported sexual assault against streamer Emiru.
Dan Clancy spoke out directly on the Twitch social accounts after the 27-year-old streamer was assaulted by a man who approached her during a meet and greet at 2025 TwitchCon and attempted to kiss her.
Since, Emiru and fans have called out Twitch for the platform’s handling of the situation , and she called out the initial statement that was released.
In a lengthy statement, CEO Dan Clancy took accountability, admitted they failed in both allowing the incident to happen and for their response afterward, as well as issuing an apology and describing how they will do better moving forward.
