DALWORTHINGTON GARDENS, Texas — The chef behind the short-lived revival of Campo Verde, one of Arlington’s most beloved holiday restaurants , says closing its doors wasn’t the end of a dream, just the acceptance that some legacies can’t be recreated.

Chef Mouhssine "Moose" Benhamacht, who reopened the longtime Mexican restaurant earlier this year , said the goal was to honor a local institution famous for its over-the-top Christmas decorations and festive spirit.

“Our hope and intention were to bring back a legacy and bring back a memory of joy and Christmas,” Chef Moose said.
