LANCASTER, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A Lancaster man died in a multi-car accident along SC Highway 9 this week.

According to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, there was an accident that occurred Oct. 20 near the Lancaster Pizza Hut at the intersection with Crestfield Drive. Three vehicles were involved.

The occupant of the 2020 Honda, 86-year-old Michael Scruggs, was transported to MUSC-Lancaster where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after his arrival.

The incident is being investigated by South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
