The Kangaroos have mingled with a music icon during their final preparations for the first Ashes Test against England in London on Sunday morning, AEDT.

The Kangaroos and Jon Bon Jovi crossed paths at Wembley Stadium on the eve of the Ashes opener, with coach Kevin Walters and his squad getting a bit starstruck by meeting the 63-year-old rock god.

Apparently, the feeling was mutual. The American star, on promotional duty as he returns to touring again with the band that carries his name following "daunting" vocal cord surgery, urged his newfound mates: "Roos, get 'em tomorrow!"

He posed for photos with the team, caught a long pass niftily, got introduced to Walters and even received a hug from an unnamed admirer in the green and gold.
