A woman is injured and her car window is shattered after she was shot while driving on the I-10 high rise in New Orleans East.

"I was driving in the far left lane. At the time, I didn't know what happened. I just heard a boof. Then my window went out and I said, 'What's going on?'" said the woman. Advertisement

Initially thinking her tire had gone out, she soon realized the gravity of the situation.

"As I'm looking, I see blood coming from my head. I began assessing the situation to see if they were still shooting. I feel the bullet hole, and see I'm bleeding from my head," she said.

Despite the shock, she managed to take a photo to confirm her suspicions and called the police.
