New Delhi: Leeds United beat West Ham 2-1 at Elland Road to win their third game of the Premier League season with early first-half goals from Brenden Aaronson and Joe Rodon.
Mateus Fernandes scored a late goal for the Hammers, leaving new manager Nuno Espirito Santo still looking for a first victory since taking over the club. Leeds moved to 13th position in the standings while West Ham remain in the relegation zone.
Leeds took the lead in the third minute of the match with their first attack as Aaronson scored from close range. The visitors almost levelled in the 10th minute as Jarrod Bowen latched onto a loose header with a sensational bicycle kick, which forced Lucas Perri into a sharp save.
