ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - On the three-year anniversary of a day that forever changed the lives of students, staff and families at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School and the Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience, the community gathered to remember the lives lost and continue healing from the tragedy.
Alexzandria Bell, 15, and health and PE teacher Jean Kuczka were killed on Oct. 24, 2022, when a former student opened fire in the south St. Louis schools that share a building.
“When I think of that specific day, there’s no easy sentence. There’s just grossly, painful, painful words that come to mind,” said Emily Schiltz Sides, whose children were students at Collegiate during the shooting.
