The C.D. Block, Prothrapur, under the Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs, A&N Administration, successfully organized a training programme on handicraft making using bamboo and waste materials for members of NRLM Self Help Groups (SHGs) at Gram Panchayat Shyam Nagar, Swaraj Dweep.

The training, held from October 13 to 22, 2025, saw the participation of 26 SHG members from Gram Panchayat Shyam Nagar. The initiative was launched in response to requests from local SHG members seeking to develop skills in creating and marketing handicraft products to enhance their livelihood opportunities.
