RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The numbers are in for the total number of people who voted across Hidalgo and Cameron County during the fifth early day of voting.
At the 29 polling locations in Hidalgo County, 1,625 voters cast their ballots, with 8 of them casting their votes by mail. The UTRGV location had the highest voter turnout, with over 200 people.
In Cameron County, 1063 people voted at the 21 polling locations. The Brownsville Public Library had almost 260 voters, and the Cameron County Harlingen Annex Building had over 100.
Early voting will run through Oct. 31. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
