After suffering defeats in Perth and Adelaide, India made a couple of changes for the inconsequential third ODI against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday. They benched all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and fast bowler Arshdeep Singh and included Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna instead.

Reddy had played a good hand in the rain-affected first ODI to help India post a decent total but managed just eight in the second. He was wicketless in both the fixtures.

However, the 22-year-old hasn’t been rested or dropped based on performances but has ended up sustaining an injury and is currently being monitored by BCCI’s medical team.
