The latest to exit is Northern Maverick, the multi-level 1,022 square metre (1,000-square-foot) brewpub on the ground floor of a condominium on Bathurst Street in Toronto. Northern Maverick was packed on my only visit there in 2020 before the pandemic. One wonders if its closure was more about high rent in a big space and less about the beer it brewed.
