Greenway’s Ava and Ari Johnson proved too much for Proctor to handle in a 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 19-25, 25-23) victory in a Section 7AA volleyball semifinal on Friday night in Coleraine.
Ava Johnson finished with 19 kills and 12 digs over the four sets, while Ari Johnson posted 13 kills and 22 digs.
The Raiders’ back row was bolstered by Destiny Serfling’s 18 digs, while Chloe Troumbly had 17. Serfling dished out 34 assists.
For the Rails, Reagan Rodberg notched 13 kills and 13 digs, while Ellie Pease had 11 kills, and both Lily Talarico and Alexis Vogel had eight.
Esko, the top seed in 7AA’s south subsection, cruised past the Rebels 25-17, 25-23, 25-18 in Esko on Friday.
Katie Andrew had seven kills for the Rebels, while Kara Lemieux and Mila Samarzia finished with seven digs apiece.
