The latest to exit is Northern Maverick, the multi-level 1,022 square metre (1,000-square-foot) brewpub on the ground floor of a condominium on Bathurst Street in Toronto. It could seat some 400 beer and food fans and featured a stunning ceiling of barrels. Along the way, they were brewing at least two beers sold at the LCBO. Article content

Northern Maverick was packed on my only visit there in 2020 before the pandemic. One wonders if its closure was more about high rent in a big space and less about the beer it brewed.
