The Medicine Hat Tigers couldn’t hold on Friday night.
They led the Kamloops Blazers 4-2 with 8:36 left in the game before surrendering a pair to force overtime, falling 5-4 in the extra frame. It’s the third loss of the B.C. division trip, they recorded a 6-3 win Wednesday over the Prince George Cougars.
The Tigers were without defenceman Bryce for a second-straight game, the captain out of the lineup due to illness. They’ve also been without fellow 19-year-old blue liner Jonas Woo for the entirety of the B.C. division trip and they’ve missed overage defenceman Josh Van Mulligen since the first game of the season.
A scoreless first period saw the Tigers outshoot Kamloops 10-6. The two teams traded chances in the second period, kicked off with a WHL milestone.
