NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KETK)-- The Marshall Mavericks took another step closer to clinching a spot in the playoffs tonight after defeating the Nacogdoches Dragons.

Following the win, the Mavericks advance to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in district play. The Mavericks will look to pick up their seventh win of the season next Friday on the road against the Hallsville Bobcats.

Meanwhile, following the loss, the Dragons fall to 6-2 and will look to pick up their seventh win of the season next Friday at home against Mount Pleasant Tigers.
