Actor-turned-politician Vijay will meet the families of those who lost their lives in the Karur rally stampede on October 27, marking his first interaction with them since the tragic incident.
After nearly five weeks of silence following the tragic stampede at his political rally, actor-turned-politician Vijay is all set to meet the families of those who lost their lives. The incident, which took place on September 27 in Tamil Nadu’s Karur district, claimed at least 41 lives and left around 100 injured.
Vijay, who leads the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, had earlier expressed grief through a social media post and promised both financial aid and personal meetings with the bereaved families. That long-promised meeting is now finally happening.
