New Delhi: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has recovered gold linked to the Sabarimala robbery from the shop of jeweller Govardhan in Ballari, officials said on Friday. The operation, led by SP Sasidharan, recovered gold bars weighing over 400 grams. Gold coins and around ₹2,00,000 in cash were also seized from the home of Unnikrishnan Potti in Pulimath, Pathanamthitta.

Reports indicate that Potti sold around 476 grams of gold at market price, and Govardhan bought it. Records show money transactions between them.

According to reports, Smart Creations in Chennai handed over some of the gold to a middleman, named Kalpesh, following instructions from Potti.
